SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, is a type of depression that follows a seasonal patter, often starting in the fall and winter and improving in the spring and summer. It is a manageable condition that can be treated with a combination of light therapy, psychotherapy, medication, supplements, and a few small changes to our daily routines. Key symptoms include sadness, low energy, weight gain, oversleeping, and loss of interest in activities.
Learn simple winter wellness tools. We'll cover supplements, somatic movement, and light therapy to help ease seasonal stress, as well as links to good quality products that help with SAD.
