Release | Reorganize | Rebuild
Healing is not a straight line. It is a dynamic process that unfolds in three important phases: Release, Reorganize, and Rebuild. Bodies hold stress the same way they hold injuries — in the tissue, in the posture, in the pattern. You don't need to sort out which is which before you come in. The work addresses what's there. This might be for you if you have pain that keeps returning no matter what you stretch or strengthen, tension that shows up in cycles — certain seasons, certain months — or a body that feels like it's working against the life you're trying to live.
Why the pain keeps coming back:
Most stubborn pain isn't a problem with the spot that hurts. When one part of your body gets restricted — from an old injury, a work posture, years of the same movement — everything around it compensates. Your body reroutes. It works, for a while. But compensation creates strain somewhere else, and that's usually where the pain shows up: the sore shoulder caused by a locked-down ribcage, the hip that hurts because of an ankle that never fully healed. It's why stretching the painful spot gives you an hour of relief and then the tension comes right back. You're stretching the symptom. The pattern is somewhere else.
Dynamic Bodywork Alignment works on the pattern.
How a session begins:
Cynthia starts by looking at how you stand and move — reading where the body is actually restricted, which is often not where you feel it. You'll likely stay fully clothed at the start while Cynthia takes you through a series of assessments to find your primary imbalances. Sometimes the body starts releasing during the assessment itself — and when it does, the session follows. The biggest restrictions get addressed first: think of them as the big buckets. When those release, the compensations built on top of them start to let go too, and the work moves down to the smaller, older patterns underneath. Session by session the buckets get smaller, until you're out of pain and just maintaining.
The arc runs through three phases: Release the major restrictions and find out what's driving them. Reorganize how your body holds itself — fascia, posture, movement habits — so the old pattern doesn't just reload. Rebuild your gait and daily movement so the change holds up in real life.
No two sessions are the same, because your body isn't the same two days in a row. Cynthia adapts each session to what your body presents that day — same client, different day, sometimes a different starting point — until the big work is done and you've found the rhythm your body responds to best. Cynthia will use her 20 plus years of bodywork experience and training to work with you and your body to Release, Reorganize, and Rebuild.
