Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Gentle lymphatic stimulation to support detox, immunity, and circulation.

Gentle Detox | Immune Support | Full-Body Rejuvenation

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized therapy designed to stimulate the movement of lymph fluid throughout the body. Zander has been trained in the Vodder Technique and will use MLD to encourage healthy lymph flow which supports your immune system, helps reduce swelling, and promotes overall wellness. This gentle, light-pressure technique can benefit anyone along the health spectrum.

MLD is especially supportive for individuals experiencing:

Post-operative swelling

Seasonal allergies

Need for detoxification support

Lymphatic or autoimmune concerns

At its core, MLD works by lightly stretching and moving the layers of skin to guide interstitial fluid toward your regional lymph nodes—where fats, water, proteins, and cellular waste are processed. In simple terms: think of your lymphatic system as a network of highways. MLD uses gentle, rhythmic movements to guide the “traffic” smoothly back to its proper destination.

Benefits of MLD:

Face & Neck Relief

Targeted MLD for the face and neck helps guide fluid toward the subclavian lymph nodes and thoracic duct, supporting drainage of areas commonly congested from allergies, sinus issues, and cold/flu symptoms.

Post-Surgical Swelling Reduction

After surgery—such as procedures involving the knees or limbs—lymph vessels or nodes can become compromised or overloaded. MLD encourages nearby lymph pathways to take on more fluid, helping “wake up” the affected vessels and reduce swelling more efficiently.

Full-Body Wellness

A full-body MLD session can help support overall immune function, improve fluid balance, and promote a sense of lightness and wellbeing.

After a session, you may notice:

More frequent urination Increased mucus or phlegm drainage. These are normal signs that your lymphatic system is responding well.

Clothing:

MLD can be performed over clothing—even a sweatshirt—but it is most effective applied directly on the skin.

Frequency: More is not always better. Multiple unnecessary MLD sessions in the same week can overstimulate the lymphatic system, which may temporarily increase susceptibility to illness. Together, we’ll determine the best schedule for your needs.

Before your first treatment, you’ll be asked a few questions about your health and goals, and ensure there are no contraindications.

After your visit it's helpful to drink extra water and stay hydrated throughout the week. Also, rest as needed and many people find they sleep more easily after MLD
